Rev. Robert Plichta was born on March 16, 1961 in Gdansk, Poland. Father Robert received a Master’s Degree in Theology from the University of Poznan and was ordained a priest in Diocese of Gdansk, Poland on June 4, 1988. He continued his studies in Canon Law at the Catholic University in Gdynia receiving both a Licentiate and Masters in Canon Law from the Catholic University of Lublin.
Fr. Robert married Janina (nee Zaborowski) on September 3, 1999 in Gdansk. Janina was a religion teacher in Gdansk. Before coming to the United States, Father and his family were members of the Divine Providence Polish Catholic Church in Gdansk.
After further studies at the Savonrola Theological Seminary of the Polish National Catholic Church, Father was incardinated into the Central Diocese of the PNCC.
From May 1, 2003 until October 31, 2003 Father Robert served as Assistant Pastor of St. Stanislaus Parish PNCC in Scranton. On November 1, 2003 Father Robert was appointed administrator of St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church in Frackville, Pennsylvania. He has also been assigned as administrator of Holy Ghost parish.
Father Plicta and Janina have two daughters, Victoria Maria and Veronica Kristina.
Father speaks Polish, English, German and a little Italian.
